Employment Generation in 2016 :
According to Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET), about 25,271 Bangladeshi workforces have been employed in UAE during 2014. Of which, this Mission has attested a total of 16,821 visas in 2015, the break-up of which is as follows:

According to Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET), about 25,271 Bangladeshi workforces have been employed in UAE during 2014. Of which, this Mission has attested a total of 16,821 visas in 2015, the break-up of which is as follows:
Welfare Services Provided in 2014 :
(i) Repatriation of Expatriates’ Workers:
During 2014, a total of 6,560 one way Travel Permits have been issued by this wing for the Expatriates’ Bangladeshis who had no valid travel documents.
(ii) Realization of Compensation :
(iii) Repatriation of Dead Body :
(iv) Jail Visit :
The officials of the Consulate General make regular visits to the inmates and detainees in the jails and take on-the -spot measures and provide legal services depending on merit of the individual cases.
In 2014, about 233 prisoners were met by the officials of this Consulate General during their visits to jail.
(v) Hospital Visit :
During 2014, a total of 33 hospitalized patients were visited by the officials and all patients were arranged for due care, interpretation services and finally, repatriation to their destination.
(vi) Miscellaneous Services :
1. During 2014, legal supports were provided to 319 NRBs on the different issues of legal interpretation and advices, while on-the-spot assistance were provided to 15 stranded Bangladeshi passengers in different airports of UAE.
2. At least 270 labour problems were solved by this wing in 2014.
3. During 2014, a total of 87 complaints made by the NRBs were forwarded to different Deputy Commissioners of Bangladesh through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka by diplomatic bags.
4. The Consulate General has actively conducted consular outreach programs to build up awareness among the Bangladeshi expatriates regarding the necessity of abiding by the rules and regulations of UAE besides upholding Bangladesh’s own heritage of non-violence and peace loving traditional culture.
5.During 2014, at least 29 meeting were held by the officials of this Consulate with the expatriates’ welfare and community organizations on socio, cultural, legal issues in addition to regular outreach consular programs.
6. A total of 27 companies/ labour camps/housemaid agencies offices have been visited by the officials of this wing during 2014.

According to Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET), about 14,241 Bangladeshi workforces have been employed in UAE during 2013. Of which, this Mission has attested a total of 12,117 visas in 2013, the break-up of which is as follows:

During 2013, a total of 17,563 one way Travel Permits have been issued by this wing for the Expatriates’ Bangladeshis who had no valid travel documents.
